You have 7 days to capture a macro or extreme close-up photo that reveals details we wouldn’t ordinarily see.
Macro photography is all about discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary. Whether it’s the fuzzy edge of a leaf, the swirl of a fingerprint, or the shimmer on an insect’s wing, this is your invitation to look closer — much closer.
You don’t need a fancy lens to shoot macro. For this project we simply refer to “macro” as something really close, not a specific 1:1 ratio like you may see in the Googles. A phone in macro mode, clip-on lenses, extension tubes, or even a zoom lens at its minimum focus distance can do the trick. What you’re looking for is proximity and texture — something your viewer can almost feel.
Some extra.
